I grew up playing soccer for about 15 years, but when I entered college I wanted to try out a new sport which led me to the rock climbing. I now enjoy rock climbing a lot (indoors and outdoors) and have even gotten my sister into it.

As mentioned on my about me page, I grew up wanting to be in the design industry which led me to Graphic Design then Landscape Architecture. I still enjoy practicing graphic design by designing logos and other projects for friends and family. In my free time I play with photoshop and illustrator, and drawing with mediums like oil pastels, charcoal, pen/pencil, markers, colored pencils, and digital painting

My favorite sport to watch is football. I'm a diehard Dallas Cowboys and Texas A&M Aggies fan. I also enjoy watching other Dallas sports like the Texas Rangers and Dallas Mavericks.

I enjoy being outside as much as possible. I miss all the camping I used to do with my family and the scouts, so a group of friends and I have begun planning trips annually. Last year a few of us went to the Guadalupe Mountains in West Texas to backpack. This year a bigger group is going to Arkansas to canoe and camp the Buffalo River for a few days.

I've been getting back into reading lately. A few books I enjoyed that I finished this past year are The Martian, Ready Player One, and The Yard

Once I graduate I want to try some new hobbies like wood working or black smithing. I'm also interested in trying out rugby, but this is a nervous interest.

Experiences

One of the best experiences in college, also in my life, was when I got the opportunity to study abroad in Bonn, Germany with other landscape architecture and urban planning students. We were also there with landscape architecture students from Penn State University. It was amazing to experience other cultures and customs while traveling around Europe and living with my host family. I was able to travel to Ireland, Netherlands, France, Spain, Italy, Czech Republic, and multiple parts of Germany.

I've been able to participate in multiple internships and made sure to get internships in different cities so I could learn about these areas and experience the professional world outside my comfort zone. I began in Dallas, then San Antonio the next summer, and finally Austin this past summer. It was great learning about these areas on my own or through coworkers and friends.
