SKILLS AND VALUES
Research and Re-visioning
Practice the skills necessary to acquire, apply, analyze, evaluate, create, organize, re-organize and re-vision based upon new knowledge as part of a process of lifelong learning.
Without researching a project first then how is a developer or investor supposed to know if there is any chance of a project being successful. Same if a developer is trying to implement a new idea through sustainability or another concept. How will that developer know that this concept will actually be successful if they don’t do the necessary research to learn all about it?
This is instilled in us heavily through classes like LDEV 671 (Sustainable Development) where we must research topics before presenting them. Each student in the class finds 3-4 educational peer-reviewed articles on their specific subject before presenting to the class on their assigned date. The class must at the end of the semester take everything they learned from their classmates to write a paper about the importance of the sustainability dividend on a real world project. I selected Mueller in Austin,TX to write my paper below.
